Educational Activity

Mr Eardley has been involved in higher education and training in surgery for over ten years and holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education from the University of Dundee. He has been the lead for education and contributes to both undergraduate and postgraduate orthopaedic teaching at the James Cook University Hospital.

Along with his colleague, Mr McVie, Mr Eardley organises the placement of trainee Orthopaedic Surgeons on the Northern Deanery rotation.

Mr Eardley is active in ONTEA, the Northern Region Orthopaedic Teaching Community and has helped set up and run the post-COVID on line viva teaching for peri-exam registrars.
